Where it all started…
Your IT Department was formed by Directors Lee Hewson and Simon Cox back in 2009. Lee and Simon had a simple vision; to provide a customer focused, efficient and high quality IT Support service to businesses in Nottingham. The business was initially housed at Mercury House on the Shipstones Business park in Nottingham and Simon and Lee soon expanded – taking on their first employee in 2010.
The business started to grow and as well as providing IT support to businesses in Nottingham they started to branch out into Derby, Leicester and Sheffield – taking on more engineers along the way.
By 2014 the team had outgrown the offices at Mercury House and moved to the brand new NBV Enterprise Centre on David Lane in Nottingham, providing IT support for tenants and playing a key role in the design of the IT infrastructure for the centre.
In 2015 the business became ‘Award winning IT Support provider Your IT Department’ landing the ‘Best Small Business Award’ at the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce Awards. The hard work that Lee, Simon and the rest of the team had put in over the past 6 years had been recognised and the celebrations were epic!
Not content to rest on their laurels growth continued apace and as well as hitting over 100 customers and increasing turnover to £650,000 in 2016 the business purchased its own premises at Unit 8 Farrington Way, Nottingham and a new era has begun.
Your IT now supports customers as diverse as recruitment agencies, plumbers, solicitors and digital marketing agencies ranging from under 10 users to well over 100. Much has changed over the past 8 years however the company has maintained that original vision and continue to provide a customer focused, efficient and high quality IT Support Service.

Project/Senior Service Desk EngineerPete Marsden Takes responsibility for the delivery of our customers IT projects. When he's not delivering, installing and configuring hardware on-site he'll be back in the office helping sort some of the more complicated issues. It's fair to say Pete likes a flutter, but he'll only bet on football. Or cricket. Or rugby, tennis, darts. Ok most sports but that's it!
