NEW: Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and Samsung Galaxy S6
On April 10th all around the world, both of Samsung’s new smart phones, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, will be released. The phones were revealed in Barcelona at Mobile World Congress. Rumours say the phone will cost £699, but Samsung are yet to comment on the price.
So what’s so great about them?
- They’ve both got amazing technology inside of them, using Samsung’s brand new octa-core Exynos 7 processor. There’s also smarter charging: as you’re able to do wireless charging (picture below) and faster charging. 10 minute charge = 4 hour use. The new Samsung’s are available in 32GB, 64GB, or 128GB. They also have 3GB of RAM, and have AMOLED screens. Let’s not forget the new fingerprint sensor.
- Samsung have also improved their camera again. There’s a brand new shortcut, to double-touch the finger print sensor and open up the camera app, despite whatever app you’re currently in so you never miss a photo op. Both phones have optical image stabilisation on their 16 megapixel cameras. Although the previous Galaxy’s low light performance was already fine, they have said it will be even bette in these new models. And thanks to the infrared capabilities of the heart rate sensor on the rear, white balance is improved.
- The plastic is gone! The new models will feature metal and Gorilla Glass 4 bodies. This has improved the appearance, and makes you feel like you’re getting what you’re paying for in the high price tag.
- We also have the beautiful new design. The new models are ultra slim, and we get a beautiful curved edge on the Galaxy S6 edge.
