iPhone Tips

1. iCloud

You can have access to any sort of file from any of your devices if they’ve been updated to iOS8 using iCloud Drive.

2. Undo Typing

It takes too long to sit and press back space for ages if you want to get rid of what you’ve typed. All you have to do is shake the phone, then click the button “Undo” and it will get rid of your typing. Or, you could double tap the screen and click “Undo”.

3. Calendars

You can add alternate calendars. To do this go to Settings > Mail, Contacts & Calendar > Calendar. You can also add a more detailed calendar by just turning the phone to the side/landscape.

4. Screenshotting

Most people know how to take a screenshot on their computer, but not everyone is aware it’s very simple to do on the iPhone, too. Simply press the ‘home’ and ‘power’ button at the same time, and the screenshot will appear in your Camera Roll.

5. Flight Arrivals

You can simply ask Siri “what planes are flying overhead?” to find out what planes you may see flying over are coming from, or simply out of boredom. Not only will she give you the location, she’ll give the airline, flight number, altitude and angel of descent.

6. Scan Cards

If you have iOS.8 you can use your camera to scan and edit credit card information. You can buy things now just from scanning your phone that has this information on!

7. Hands-Free Siri

If you go to Settings > General > Siri > Allow “Hey Siri”, you can speak to Siri hands-free. You can be sending a text or browsing the web, for example, then just say “Hey Siri” and he will appear.
