Hinckley Rugby Club
Hinckley RFC recorded a comfortable 52-12 win against Luctonians to go top of the National League 2 North despite going 12 points behind.

Hinckley eventually ran in 8 tries to take the points and move to the top of the table.
Derby County Ladies FC
Derby County Ladies produced a fine defensive display and were clinical in front of goal as they ended Huddersfield Town Ladies 6-match unbeaten run with a 3-0 win in the FA Women’s Premier League Northern Division.
Against a team that had ended Blackburn’s 18-month unbeaten run last week, the Ewe Rams looked to have their work cut out.
Both teams started brightly with Andi Bell just failing to get on the end of a ball through from Karagh Tait, whilst the home team protested furiously for a penalty, with the referee waving away their appeals.
Midway through the half, the Ewe Rams took a shock lead when Bell broke the offside trap on the right went past the Huddersfield left-back to find Nicki Ledgister in the box. Ledgister took the chance first time and her strike nestled in the bottom corner to give the visitors a 1-0 lead.
The home team piled on the pressure look for an equaliser but found a well-drilled backline and an inspired Sarah Morgan in the Derby goal as Huddersfield were thwarted by an impressive first-half defensive display.
The next goal looked like being crucial and it was Derby that doubled their lead early in the second-half. Leanne De Silva found herself on the edge of the box and turned the defender before looping a strike over the goalkeeper to make it 2-0.
More chances for the home side came but the Ewe Rams were battling hard with Morgan continuing to show her talent with a string of fine saves, whilst Molly Johnson somehow ensured the two-goal lead was maintained with a double clearance off the line.
With the home side beginning to get frustrated the visitors dealt the killer blow when Bell pounced on a defensive mistake to drive into the box before firing home for 3-0.
The Ewe Rams continued to deny the home side a goal and held on for a clean sheet and an impressive three points.
Mansfield Town left it late to extend their unbeaten run to 10 games as recorded a 2-2 draw in a fierce local derby against Chesterfield at One Call Stadium this afternoon.
Mansfield bossed the majority of the opening 45 minutes but they found themselves behind in the 14th minute when Spireites’ winger Joe Rowley curled the ball past goalkeeper Conrad Logan from 10 yards out.
Despite the setback, The Stags continued to pepper the Chesterfield goal and they got a deserved equaliser 12 minutes later through right-back Hayden White his overlapping run ending with him dispatching the ball into the top corner.
Despite Mansfield’s strong first half, it was Chesterfield who started the second period brighter and they retook the lead in the 58th minute when Wigan Athletic loanee Andy Kellett headed in from close range after being picked out by striker Kristian Dennis.
Stags then clinched a point in the 88th minute when skipper Zander Diamond, operating as a makeshift centre-forward, headed home winger Alex MacDonald’s cross.
